Job Description
Primary Role
  • Carry out the day to day operations of HSE department and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety and Environmental management by providing technical support. 
  • Willing to work different shifts and travel up to 50% of the time. 


General Responsibilities (but not limited to):
  • Conduct QHSE Inspections. 
  • Maintain relevant QHSE logs and documentation. 
  • Assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Prepare applicable QHSE reports as necessary. 
  • Conduct daily and monthly QHSE Meetings/Trainings and schedule as needed. 
  • Write, implement and manage QHSE Programs, Policies and Procedures. 
  • Perform facility QHSE Inspections. 
  • Evaluation of PPE and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE. 
  • Oversee Hazardous Waste Storage area and ensure regulatory agency compliance, i.e. labelling, containment, proper disposal, documentation, etc. 
  • Assist in emergency response and provide first aid treatment. 
  • Provide assistance and advice on QHSE issues to make recommendations to facility management. 
  • Other QHSE related duties as and when required. 
Health and Safety
  • Strictly follow Health & Safety guidelines at all times. 
  • To ensure work is executed in a safe manner and in accordance with instructions given to them by their seniors. 
Environment 
  • Responsible for following EMS (Environmental Management System) guidelines. 


Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience Requirement:
  • Graduate/Post Graduate. 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably from the Civil Construction background. 
  • Prefer Associate Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences. 
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Have knowledge and enforce compliance with Regulatory requirements, including company QHSE policies and procedures. 

Skills 
  • Computer skills including MS Excel, word and PowerPoint. 
  • Competent Desktop research skills using a variety of research tools. 
  • Organised. 
  • Able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
